Here is the first photo of the completed study for what I am temporarily calling ‘Triumph of Icarus’.  (Just a working title for the eventual, much larger, multiple figure piece based on this study)

Although this figure is a study for the final painting, this background is not.  I dropped it in there to add a little much needed context, and because it was rediculously fun to paint.

As always, I will post a better image, in this case with much better coloring, after I get the painting to a professional photographer.
