Kid-Icarus Finished…

Published by Bryan at 3:49 pm under On the Easel

The painting of Young Icarus is all but finished.  There are always a number of minor touch-ups and tweaks that take place in the final days of a painting’s progress, but they are usually subtle enough that they would go un-noticed in a digital photo.   So, until I can get a professional photographer to one-up my camera handling…here is a final image of Icarus as a Boy.  I haven’t settled on a final title yet, as seems to be my style.  Enjoy!

Unbelievable Brian! (as usual though) You’re brilliant. What a beautiful painting! I would swear it’s a photograph. You’re amazing!

Wow, I just love checking up on your work. It’s awesome. I remember seeing one of your pieces in the Sprinville Museum. It was one of my favorites!

I am astounded by your skill. While I cannot afford to buy your art, I appreciate you sharing it for free on this site. Please accept this salutation as the only tribute I can presently give you, and please continue to show us all your work. It is a sign of your confidence that you allow such a window into your technique, as if daring someone to mimic your work…
    Thanks again, Bryan

Amazing technical ability, and great pose, movement to this work. And a Salt Lake artist, to boot. Awesome! :)
